the diva #144, a bug life

As I was working on Adele Bruno challenge (tickledtotangle.bolgspot.com) with the string #50
by Maria Thomas (zentangle R) and in the same time on Laura the Diva challenge #144 "a bug's life"
my husband came by where I was drawing and kind of mixed the 2 challenges!!!!
He added a "fin" in Maria's string and told me " you may make a bug out of that"
My husband first name is Dominique, and he loves when I put some little creatures in my ZIA like snails!!
N.B. pour (French) means for (English).

"It's a String Thing" #14 by Adele Bruno

We had to use tagh, tortuca, tipple and tripoli.
The string and the tangles are by Maria Thomas.

I needed a little time to see where I could draw the tangles.
Nipple in the bubbles was obvious, but wasn't too obvious?? I am anxious to see what the others Tanglers are going to come up with!!
Can't wait!
Have a great week all of you.

The Diva Challenge #144

Laura asked us to tangle bugs or to hide bugs in a Zentangle... with colors!
That was my concern, I am travelling right now and I don't have my color pens...
Then my "Zentangle- quilting" adviser (my husband!!) told me " why don't you draw a Christmas bug?"
What a brilliant idea!
I have with me my basic Zentangle supplies : white paper, Sakura Micron black, red and green, to be able to tangle but also to copy the steps of a new tangle.
So here is my Christmas caterpillar: the hat is an idea by Helen Williams, and I used :
printemps, puf, knightsbridge, arc flower, nzeppel, undling, tagh, keeko.

Pauline's pigtail, an adorable tangle by Adele Bruno from www.tickeledtotangle,blogspot.com

Last week, while I was working on Adele Bruno's challenge, I was checking her blog and she just published an adorable tangle!!!!
I had to try it immediately, love at the first sight!!!
It made me think of constellations, the first ZIA or sea creatures, the second ZIA.

"it's a string thing" #13 tiles from Adele Bruno of www.tickledtotangle.blogspot.com

Last week I entered a tile for the challenge #13 by Adele Bruno's blog.
We had to use the string #10 from TanglePatterns.
Then the instructions were to use the tangles, Antidots by Anita Roby-Lavery CZT,
and Angel fish by Marizaan van Beek CZT.
For me, Antidots and Angle fish together mean under the sea scene.
I liked it but as usual a challenge makes me use tangles in a way I was not thinking of, or use a string where I don't see the tangles to put in immediately, in that case the triangle was the hard thing to include curve tangles in!!
But that is the purpose of the challenges, right? To take us out of our safe zone!!

Zendala dare #80, from Erin, www.thebrightowl.com

Christmas is in the air!!!! It's coming, holidays vacation for the kids, the decoration of our home, the Christmas tree, what is going to be the menu of Christmas eve diner (we are living in Alabama but we are French so the food is very important in this kind of celebrations, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year Eve and Easter).
In our home the colors for Christmas are red and green!!
The leafy shape of the zendala made me think of : pine cone, winter woolly hat for the kids, Christmas decorations.
I hope you like my zendalas.
I wish all of you a wonderful Holiday season.
